Ann Arbor apartments to be renamed for Black activist once denied housing there

ANN ARBOR, MI — An Ann Arbor apartment complex is being renamed in honor of the late Bunyan Bryant, a Black civil rights activist once denied housing there.

Arbordale Apartments, located off Pauline Boulevard and Arbordale Street, will become Bunyan Bryant Apartments with a renaming ceremony at 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, Avalon Housing announced.
