TRAVERSE CITY, MI--Over the weekend, MLive launched a drone in Northern Michigan to get a different perspective of fall color coming into peak.

The drone captured the recent burst of color in Grand Traverse and Benzie counties on Oct. 18 and 19.

The drone hovered above the vineyards and farms of Old Mission Peninsula, featuring brilliant pops of color along the blue waters of Grand Traverse Bay.
Drone images captured fall color around Crystal, Long, Rush and Platte lakes, just south of Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore.
Some of the aerial photos even captured the swath of the iconic dunes in the distance.
