MOUNT CLEMENS, MI -- A former top executive in Wayne County pleaded no contest this week to a charge of domestic violence and now faces up to 93 days in jail. Tony Saunders II, 38, entered his plea in connection with an alleged assault that took place on Jan 10.
Saunders is accused of hitting his wife numerous times in the face, chest and arms while the two were at their home in Detroit. Because Saunders was employed by Wayne County at the time of the alleged assault, the case was referred to the Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office.
