According to a report from 9News in Denver, former Detroit Lions wide receiver Josh Reynolds was one of two people wounded in a shooting after leaving a strip club last week. The incident occurred on Oct. 18, with the NBC affiliate obtaining details through court documents.

Reynolds was reportedly shot twice—once in his left arm and once in the back of his head. The other victim, whose name was not released, was shot in the back. The report did not provide an update on the 29-year-old receiver’s condition.

Prior to the shooting, Reynolds and the other victim were at Shotgun Willie’s, a strip club in the Glendale area. They left around 2:45 a.m., and court documents indicate there were no issues inside the establishment.

After leaving, Reynolds and the other victim were followed by two drivers who opened fire on them. When their vehicle became inoperable, they fled on foot.

On Wednesday, police announced the arrest of two suspects in the shooting: Burr Charlesworth and Luis Mendoza.

Reynolds, who signed with the Broncos in March, spent the last three seasons with the Lions. In 38 games (29 starts), he recorded 1,393 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns. Last season, he had a career-high 40 receptions for 608 yards and five touchdowns.

The eight-year veteran faced criticism for his performance in last season’s NFC Championship against the San Francisco 49ers, where several key drops contributed to the Lions’ loss.

Reynolds is currently on injured reserve with a broken finger and did not travel with the Broncos for their game in New Orleans last Thursday.
