Frozen waffles that are sold under several different brand names and distributed nationwide are being recalled due to a possible listeria contamination. According to the Associated Press, Illinois-based TreeHouse Foods announced the recall voluntarily after discovering possible contamination during routine inspections at their production facility.

The recall involves hundreds of different varieties and types of waffles that are sold at major retailers like Dollar General, Target and Walmart, along with smaller grocers across the U.S. The full list of recalled waffles, UPC codes, lot codes and more can be found here.

So far the company is unaware of any illnesses caused by the issue. Anyone who has purchased the recalled waffles is asked to dispose of them or return them to the store of purchase for credit.

While most listeria infections are mild, they can be potentially fatal and are particularly dangerous to those who are pregnant, elderly or with weakened immune systems. Mild symptoms include fever, diarrhea headache, nausea and stiffness.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control estimates that 1,600 people a year in the U.S. are infected with listeria and roughly 260 people die per year as a result of an infection.
