Kokaly, Graczyk to face-off for Bay City Commission 2nd Ward seat

BAY CITY, MI – After a three-person race for the 2nd Ward seat on the Bay City Commission in the primary Tuesday, Aug. 6, two candidates will move on to the November General Election.

With all 41 precincts accounted for, Craig Kokaly and Breanna Graczyk beat out Brandy Swartz for the seat. The two will now face-off on the ballot in the November General Election for the non-partisan position.

Kokaly tallied 334 votes while Graczyk pulled in 140, according to the unofficial numbers provided by the Bay County Clerk’s Office. Swartz had 128 votes.

The 2nd Ward Commissioner seat carries with it a four-year term. It includes a narrow strip on the city’s east side.

Official results will follow the certification process from state and county election officials.
