Obama to Detroit: ‘We do not need to see what an older, loonier Donald Trump is like’

DETROIT, MI — In a downtown Detroit event that fused presidential politics and hip-hop music culture, former President Barack Obama called on voters to support Vice President Kamala Harris’ 2024 push for the White House.

During a 30-minute address Tuesday, Oct. 22, at Huntington Place conference center, Obama outlined a case to vote for Harris while also rejecting the candidacy of Republican nominee, Donald Trump, who succeeded Obama in the White House in 2017.
