SALINE, MI — Vacant city-owned land on a busy stretch of Michigan Avenue/U.S. 12 in Saline might not stay empty much longer.

Metro-Detroit based developers with Cambridge Real Estate are eyeing the land for new shops and dozens of townhomes. The firm offered to purchase 1080 E. Michigan Ave., and the Saline City Council voted unanimously Monday, Oct. 21 to approve a purchase agreement for $615,000.
