GENESEE COUNTY, MI -- A Democratic Party activist is challenging incumbent state Representative Matthew Bierlein in the race for 97th District in the Michigan House of Representatives in the general election on Nov. 5.
Democrat Mark Putnam, a former hospitality worker and self-published author, will face Bierlein in the election after both candidates were unopposed in the Aug. 6 primary.
