SAGINAW, MI — A GOP newcomer will attempt to unseat the Saginaw County Board of Commissioners chairperson in the November election.

Democrat Christopher Boyd will face Republican Jane Collins in the battle for the District 9 seat, which represents parts of northwest Saginaw and southeast Saginaw Township. About 16,000 constituents reside in the district.
