Shark wins Republican primary for Bay County executive, will challenge Barcia in November

BAY COUNTY, MI – Bay County voters now know who will face Democratic incumbent Jim Barcia in the race for county executive in the November General Election.

Kevin Shark won the Republican primary election on Tuesday, Aug. 6, according to unofficial voting totals provided by the Bay County Clerk’s Office. He defeated challenger Charles Juers in a landslide, collecting 6,362 votes to Juers’ 2,368.

Official results will follow the certification process from state and county election officials.

Shark will now advance to the November General Election and challenge Barcia.
