The Detroit Lions got the win to put themselves back on top of the NFC North. And while the defensive line and pass rush made plays when it mattered the most, there was still a noticeable drop in pressure in their first game without Aidan Hutchinson.
That shouldn’t surprise anyone, as Hutchinson was doing his best Hercules impression while cementing his status as an early-season favorite to win defensive player of the year. But it’s worth noting that in his last full game, Hutchinson created 15 pressures. And that’s how many Detroit’s entire defense posted against the Minnesota Vikings in their Week 7 win.
