JACKSON COUNTY, MI – Halloween is almost here, meaning it’s time to get into costume and venture out to neighborhoods for trick-or-treating.

Halloween, Oct. 31, falls on Thursday this year, and some communities are celebrating on that day or earlier.

Here is a rundown:

Adrian

Trick-or-treating is 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31.

The city of Adrian and the Adrian Downtown Development Authority will also host trick-or-treating event with businesses and local organizations on Main Street. The event is 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26 in downtown, according to the event’s Facebook page.

Albion

Trick-or-treating is 6 to 8 pm. Thursday, Oct. 31.

Additionally, the Greater Albion Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau is hosting Sweets on Superior from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27.

Sweets on Superior allows businesses, organizations and nonprofits to set up along Superior Street for trick-or-treating. This year’s theme is Ghostbusters, according to the chamber’s website.

Baker College Trunk or Treat

Baker College near Jackson is offering its annual trunk or treat event, hosted by the Student Nurses Association, according to the event’s Facebook page. The event is 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26 at 2800 Springport Road in Blackman Township.

Blackman Township

No specified time for trick-or-treating.

Brooklyn

Trick-or-treating is 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31.

Cascades Humane Society Trunk or Treat

Cascades Humane Society is hosting its annual trunk or treat event 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30 at 1515 Carmen Drive in Blackman Township. People can enjoy an evening with a dog costume contest and a trunk decorating contest.

Columbia Township

No specified time for trick-or-treating.

Concord

Trick-or-treating is 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31.

Grass Lake

Trick-or-treating is 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31.

The Grass Lake Regional Chamber of Commerce will also host a trunk or treat from 6 to 8 p.m. on Halloween at 120 Brown St.

Jackson College Spooktacular

Jackson College is hosting its ninth annual Halloween trick-or-treat event from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25 at Jackson College’s Central Campus, 2111 Emmons Road, in Summit Township. The free event is for children 12 and under, and guests are encouraged to dress in costume, according to the college’s website.

Participants will trick-or-treat through campus buildings. Trick-or-treating will start in Bert Walker Hall.

The route will take you in and out of buildings so dress for the weather. Children are encouraged to bring a bag for treats.

Jackson’s Underworld

Jackson Underworld is hosting a free trunk or treat for kids from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24 at 1318 Wildwood Ave. in Jackson. Kids can come in costume, grab some candy and meet some of the haunt actors, according to the event’s Facebook page.

Jonesville

Trick-or-treating is 5:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31.

Leslie

Trick-or-treating is 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31.

Leoni Township

Trick-or-treating is 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31.

Manchester

Trick-or-treating is 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31

Napoleon Township

Trick-or-treating is 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31.

The Napoleon Township Fire Department will also host an open house with candy and activities from 6 to 9 p.m. on Halloween.

Parma

Trick-or-treating is 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31.

Playful Paws Trunk or Treat for Dogs

This trunk or treat is for the dogs. Playful Paws in Jackson is hosting a Halloween event from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26 at 2299 W. Michigan Ave. All ages and species are welcome.

No candy will be passed out but pups will get treats. These includes biscuits, jerky and Milk Bones, according to the event’s Facebook page.

Pleasant Lake Civic Association Trunk or Treat

Pleasant Lake Civic Association is hosting a trunk or treat at 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27 at Hankerd Hills Golf Course, 10251 Resort Road, near Pleasant Lake in Henrietta Township. The event features activities, giveaways and a chance for kids to dress up and show off their costumes, according to the event’s Facebook page.

Welcome Home Organization Trunk or Treat

The Welcome Home Organization of Jackson is hosting a trunk or treat event noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26 at Gems of Jackson Child Care & Education Center, 1203 First St. Candy, costumes, games and hot dogs will be featured, according to the event’s Facebook page.
