MUNISING, MI -- Picture this, your summer office is towering 200 feet above Lake Superior. Intrigued? There’s an open position for you at the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore.
Applications are open for interpretive park rangers for summer 2025 at one of Michigan’s most iconic national parks.

Interpretive Rangers develop and present educational programs including guided walks and presentations, and working with audiences in a variety of park settings, according to the National Parks Service.
That job description could take you from touring the historic Au Sable Light Station to geology walks through the 100 miles of trails or canoe trips along the Pictured Rocks cliffs.
Rangers work from March to July. Pay ranges from $18.96 - $30.54 per hour.
The application window is open until 11:59 p.m. EST on Oct. 25.
The window may closer sooner, only the first 750 applicants are considered.
