Late-night food joint opens new location in Portage

PORTAGE, MI –– There’s a new late-night food option on Westnedge Avenue.

A Western Michigan University community favorite, Two Fellas Grill, opened its third location at 6160 S. Westnedge Ave. on Oct. 11.

The restaurant is next to Jersey Mike’s in the are of the Southland Mall strip mall.

Known for its different variations of grilled wraps, Two Fellas is bringing the same mouth-watering menu to the new location.

Menu highlights include “The first item on the menu,” which is a wrap with grilled chicken, cheddar, mozzarella, tater tots, ranch and sour cream.

“The Bronco” is another fan favorite that includes chicken tenders, bacon, mozzarella, tater tots and barbecue sauce.

The specialty wrap menu includes options like “Mac Daddy,” which has grilled chicken, mozzarella, mac and cheese bites, tater tots, sour cream and barbecue sauce.

Cooked fresh and cooked fast, wraps range from $8 to $12.50.

Brendan Perry, the general manager at the new location, has worked at Two Fellas for six years. Perry said the decision to expand was the result of a desire to reach more of the Kalamazoo community.

“We expanded out to Gull Road a couple of years prior and we want to keep building a big circle around Michigan for all the people that know about us,” Perry said. “If you can get on Westnedge and succeed, then your whole company should be doing pretty well.”

For those familiar with Two Fellas, Perry said to expect more of the same –– same hours, same awesome food and same energy.

On weekdays, Two Fellas will be open from 11 a.m. until 3 a.m.

An exception is, from Thursday to Saturday the restaurant will be open until 4 a.m.

“It’s going to be us and Taco Bell after 10 p.m.,” Perry said.

The location hopes to start delivery as soon as possible and is already on DoorDash. Two Fellas is hiring for the new location and has applications open on its website.

The Gull Road location is at 5585 Gull Road, Suite 106, and the Western Michigan University location is at 2730 W. Michigan Ave.
